Motivation Math Naturally Guides Students Toward a Curious and Motivated Perception of MathematicsBoost critical thinking and math skills with Motivation Math toolsMotivation Math Will Help Students Improve Their Math Skills & Test ScoresBy promoting a positive and interested attitude toward mathematics, students are brought to higher levels of understanding and literacy. Motivation Math is predicated on this idea that motivated students will perform better and understand more about subjects in which they are genuinely engaged. Created by educators in order to develop critical thinking and math skills in students of a range of grade levels, Motivation Math is a useful addition to any already existing mathematics program. Mentoring Minds has a variety of products that are part of the Motivation Math suite-including student editions, teacher editions, digital projection CDs, problem-solving story mats and mental math loops. Student editions are also available in versions that are aligned with STAAR standards. Motivation Math doesn't just expect students to feel a positive attitude toward math just because teachers may want them to-by challenging students in ways that are rewarding, that test their critical thinking and problem solving skills, and by facilitating strong mathematical reasoning, students can naturally arrive at an optimistic feeling toward math in general. By giving students the opportunity to succeed in individually directed tasks, teachers constructively place the responsibility on these young learners to develop their own genuine feeling for mathematics. Most Motivation Math products are available for levels 1-8, and many are also offered in Spanish translation. For levels 1-5, students have six pages in which they are tested on each specific state standard. There are also opportunities for assessment and parent activities. For levels 6-8, students have four pages to be tested on the particular student expectations for that grade. These higher grade levels come with opportunities for guided as well as independent practice. Students also further engage with their own mathematical success by charting personal progress and achievement. By giving students the chance to critically gauge their own accomplishments, they are guided toward a sense of individuality and honing of their skills as independent young learners. Feeling a sense of ownership over progress made will further facilitate that positive attitude toward mathematics that leads to success. Motivation Math Student Editions
