Developing Students as Critical Thinkers
Educators are accountable for ensuri
ng that all students achieve academic gains. Students must be able to demonstrate the mastery of the standards established by each state. The assurance that students perform at high levels on standardized assessments is non-negotiable. In addition, educators must look beyond high-stakes testing and determine what it means to be an educated student in the 21st century. Obviously, students must be able to think independently.
Thinking is a skill that can be learned and developed.
