How to Integrate Informational Texts Into Your Lessons

An aspect of the Common Core State Standards that many teachers are worried about is how to integrate more informational texts into classroom lessons.

Informational Texts

CCSS reading requirements call for a 50/50 balance of authentic literary and informational texts in all K-5 classrooms. The standards recommend that the proportion of informational texts increases to a 70/30 split by the time students reach high school.
