As a science writer, Ladona creates rigorous, yet accessible, science curriculum to help all students master the content regardless of where they start out. After an early career as a chemist, Ladona exchanged the lab for the classroom, teaching science at the middle school and high school levels. Her talent for developing curriculum led her to take on roles as campus instructional specialist and district science facilitator. Throughout each stage of her career, Ladona’s goal has been to inspire young people (and especially young girls) to explore careers in science and engineering.
After hours, Ladona stays involved with her church and supports Zoey’s Place, an organization that sponsors orphans in Malawi. She’s also devoted to her husband, son, and wonderful puppy, Bentley.
