Students are going to move and make noise in class anyway, so let’s make it fun and educational at the same time! Total Physical Response is great for all students. Participants will learn songs, mnemonics, chants, and dances to remember science concepts to help their students reach mastery.

Meet Charitie

Charitie Wright is a 5th grade science teacher at Troup ISD in rural East Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler and has been in education for over 20 years. Her passion for elementary science education is evident to anyone who meets her. From chants and dances to demonstrations and labs, Charitie’s enthusiasm is contagious. During her 11 years as a classroom teacher Charitie has received several awards including Troup ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, and has written guest articles for the Tyler Morning Telegraph and The Science Penguin.
